Honoring Marriage

Honoring Marriage

May 27, 2018 | Wes McAdams

Passage: Matthew 19:1-9

Jesus’ teaching on marriage made people uncomfortable in the first-century and it makes people uncomfortable in the twenty-first century. But it doesn’t have to make us uncomfortable. Jesus’ teaching on marriage should encourage us, knowing that God’s law was always meant to protect the vulnerable. And the church should protect the vulnerable as well.

Series Information

Every follower of Jesus - married or single, a parent or not - must be committed to honoring God’s family structures. After all, in one way or another, everyone is part of a family or connected to a family. But when family structures break down, the church must become the family people need.
